I am very glad that you started a new job. Do not worry too much because I can give you some advice for your problem.
Firstly, I have had a difficult time when I have started my first job as well because of my dog. I asked for advice from a proper dog trainer that helped me overcome my problem. He suggested that I should leave the Tv open so that my dog could hear voices in order to not feel alone.
Secondly, he reassured me that if i leave a teddy bear next to his sleeping spot, my dog would not feel alone.
