When Oliver was 9 years old, he asked his cruel taskmaster, Mister Bumble for a second serving of gruel and then he is hired out as an apprentice. Escaping that dark fate, Oliver meets Artful Dodger and his mentor, Fagin. When Mister Brownlow kindly takes Oliver in, Fagin’s follower, Bill Sikes plans to kidnap Oliver.
